Good quiz... but darn hard. I hadn't even heard of most of these people. Also, perhaps you could specify 'most famous' because many of these people slept with many, many people. Often many famous people. Caesar for instance apparently slept with King Nicomedes of whereever sometime. And that was and is still pretty (in)famous.
you're right. but, I think for most of these people they have only had one truly notorious affair. Ceasar I think almost everyone gets correct so I don't feel any further hint was needed there.
I think Kabaeva (Putin), Letterman, Schwarzenegger and Law are the hardest to get because even though people know that they were cheaters they don't usually know who they cheated with. Many of the others are pretty Anglo- or Amero-centric. If you lived in Australia, for example, you might not have ever seen the headlines about some of these stories. I threw in several that Brits would probably know but I did neglect our friends down under. Sorry about that.
Clinton is another on the list who famously had many affairs (at least allegedly) but for sure the most well-known is Lewinsky. I doubt anyone typed in Gennifer Flowers before trying Lewinsky.
The more years that pass the harder this gets as I think we tend to forget a lot of this tabloid information. That's probably a good thing. For instance I'd be pretty surprised if I met anyone under 30 who had heard of Amy Fisher before.
Yeah, I think alot of these 'famous' people are only famous in the US. Plus, to be fair, I don't tend to read celeb gossip... so most of it is lost on me. I remember reading that during the fall of the Berlin Wall in the US the top story - by far - was the marriage problems of Burt Reynolds and Lonnie Anderson. To me... that's pretty sad.
hm... I'm not a celeb gossip fan, either, but... I don't think this is accurate. I was only in 6th grade when the Berlin Wall fell but I remember the news coverage about that vividly. It was a huge huge story. If you had asked me who Burt Reynolds was married to I wouldn't have been able to answer you.
I'm a year late to this comment, but I can assure you that the fall of the Berlin Wall was the top story in the US as it happened. US media is a pretty sorry affair in a lot of ways, but your statement sounds like typical misinformation. And I lived down under for a while, so I have a good sense of how others see the US from a distance.
Oz tends to fervently and unreservedly believe *any*thing he reads or hears that supports any negative stereotype about the USA, and discount anything that disproves those same stereotypes.
Great Job. Can't believe I spaced on Caesar & Hitler. Still ended up with 10. Thanks for simply accepting Mary Kay...no clue on how to actually spell her name.
haha... yes... I assumed most people wouldn't even want to wager a guess at her last name so I was trying to be kind. I could have made her the clue and Vili the answer, but his last name is no easier.
