Surprised that the biggest uptick in Seattle growth seems to be recently. I would have expected that sometime around the early to mid 90s.

though it tripled from 1900 to 1910 that's even more impressive than the recent growth and I'm guessing had little to do with Microsoft or Nintendo.

I wonder if we'd see an earlier uptick if it was metro area population as opposed to city proper. Microsoft HQ is out in Redmond, and I don't think that many people who work for them live within the city limits. Amazon, on the other hand, is in the city proper, and their explosion is more recent than Microsoft's.
