What is it with Massachusetts?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

(I was born and raised in Mississippi. Haha!)

Yes, of course, you have Harvard there, and Smith and other Ivy League universities. But that doesn't "do it" to the whole state.

Is is because of the Puritan heritage? Have the Boston Brahmins done a really good job of maintaining their intellectual elitism in a really pervasive way?

I don't get it. I'd love to know.

Watch the fake Dunkin' Donuts ad from Saturday Night Live with Casey Affleck and you'll get the genuine average Massachusetts guy to the T (pun intended).
