This one and "maroon saloon" are the only two that don't though...

Yeah, this one is not like the others. The reason I missed it is that I was excluding words that didn't rhyme more than the end of the last sylllable. All the others, Maroon Saloon included, rhymed either the entire word, or most, even in the exact pronunciation. Bei-ROOT and dis PEUT don't completely rhyme any part of the word.

Why is it that people only complain about the questions of the ones they get wrong? For some reason this is when the "intellectual" debates over the pettiest of details begin.

Church speech from Klaus...definitely thought you meant Santa and couldn't come up with a rhyme for that. I think Martin Luther would be a better clue. Where Macintoshs go to get married... thought you meant raincoats...maybe Gala, Pink Lady, Red Delicious, Granny Smith would work better.

I thought maybe Klaus was a specific person I hadn't heard of, so I kept trying to make "Herman sermon" work, with different spellings of Herrman/Hermann.

I had the same problem, and I agree this one was more difficult because of the multiple meanings of Macintosh. Macintosh can be either an apple variety, a raincoat, a computer, or even a British surname. (That last one made me think of Reading wedding.) I would have gotten the answer if a different apple variety had been used.

I would never have gotten "smartest artist" and "Beirut dispute" because in my mind, those words didn't sound alike at all. But then, I'm not a native speaker so pronunciation is my weakness.

Maroon and Saloon don't even come close to rhyming. They look the same spelt out though. A few of the others come close, but still don't rhyme. Also January is very hot!

Was anyone else trying raincoat rhymes for the apple one?

Fun! and they all rhyme imho..........took awhile to get to an apple variety instead of a raincoat/jacket, but made it just in time. Thought Beirut//dispute was one of the easiest.

Missed three.

Thanks for sharing this clever idea.

Sometimes I expect the clue to be bordering on esoteric and forget to think literally. I typed "wonky donkey" at least three times before realizing there was a more obvious answer.
