Just took the busiest airports quizzes for the world and for Europe. Still miss airports here that were on those quizzes! Dumb? :)

DME is the airport on the south eastern side of town. Before USSR fell apart was used for domestic only flights typically departing to the south and east. SVO Sheremetievo was the only international one. Now DME is used for both domestic and internationla service (British goes in there for instance)

There are three airports in Moscow. Vnukovo is a small one that does mostly short flights.

There are more than 3. But they all service Moscow, so the hint is not inaccurate.

Harder than the first one if I remember correctly. Only got 22. Can't believe I missed Haneda. I've used that airport before. Others I missed that seem obvious now include HAV, ZRH and GIB.

I've been to Tokyo too, though I landed in Narita. Fun Fact: There is a farm in the middle of Narita Airport.

Not gonna even attempt this. I refuse to believe going by the comments that folk actually know remote airports N/S/E/W of Moscow. Unless they are googling

Yes, I also refuse to believe that it's possible anyone would know the names of airports servicing a city of 16 million people that receives 17 million tourists annually. Even thought I lived there myself for about 2 months and even went to that airport before, I refuse to believe that I knew it myself. I'm such a cheater.

It would be much more fun if you could actually make a guess based on the letters in every one of the codes.

Gibraltar is not a major city.

With twice as many people in La Línea de la Concepción, it should work for Gibraltar as well :-). Corssing borders is not really a big deal if we're talking international airports. Jsut a thought.

That's the first thing I typed in, but, the directions do say to name the major city serviced by the airport. Dulles is definitely not a major city.

Dulles isn't a city at all. The airport is named after John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State in the Eisenhower Administration.

Another USA-centric quiz, 11/32 answers in USA. Fair enough the major ones, but Anchorage, Portland, St Louis? Surely throw in maybe another African one!

Orlando is one of those airports whose code is completely counterintuitive. Like New Orleans, it goes back to a name the airport hasn't used in years (McCoy and Moisant, respectivley)

lol the only reason I knew Portland was because my first fake ID said I was from Portland and so I gave myself a backstory where I told people I worked at the airport.
