If your belly button has topological genus 1 like a tortellini, you should seek immediate medical attention.

Butterfly should be accepted for farfalle, though it doesn't fit the rest of the clue.

Farfalle means butterflies but I doubt many people would wear butterflies to a fancy party

Depends on the party. Spider birthday party comes to mind.

"Bow tie" in Italian is "farfallino", which means "little butterfly"

I didn't know farfallino is how they say bow tie - that's interesting :-)

And in French, a bow tie is called "noeud papillon", which translates to "butterfly knot".

I guessed every body part and was starting to get into Latin. Except the answer of course! Made for all kinds of interesting images in my brain (toenail shaped pasta, intestine shaped pasta, butt shaped pasta).

Since I knew what tortellini look like, I just started naming… orifices. ALL the orifices. I mean, I wouldn't put it past the Italians to do something like that. It would have gone really well with puttanesca sauce, come to think of it.

Hilarious! Knowing what tortellini look didn't help me much, and orifices didn't occur to me. I love pasta puttanesca, such fragrant comfort food and so easy to cook :) (and yes I know the backstory).

I think people keep replaying the quizzes until they have a high score or until they remember it all but yeah, I always seem to be just below average even after I think I've done well

Just to be nitpicky: "Primi" is plural and it's always referred to as "primo" as in "primo piatto" (lit. first plate).

Should just "bow" be accepted for the farfalle question? It has the same shape as a bowtie and you might wear one in your hair to a fancy party.

I had to look it up. Sorry

Are capellini and angel hair the same?

While angel hair pasta is similar to capellini, angel hair is actually a bit thinner. Capellini's diameter measures between 0.85 and 0.92 millimeters, while angel hair's diameter is between 0.78 and 0.88.

Capellini (Italian pronunciation: [kapelˈliːni], literally "little hairs")

Capelli d'angelo ([kaˈpelli ˈdandʒelo], literally angel hair—hence, "angel hair pasta" in English)
