Accept just "paradise" maybe? I tried paradise, paradise bird, in the end I actually remembered the name.

Yes agree. Please either accept just 'paradise,' or put '_____ of paradise.' When paradise wasn't accepted I assumed bird of paradise had been overlooked by heraldry :)

Feels odd to refer to an angel as an "animal." Not sure I can make a solid argument for excluding it, though.

Agreed. It's a creature, but not an animal.

Piping shrike and swan are on state emblems in Australia not a national emblem. Very misleading.

The quiz doesn't ask what the national emblems are. It asks which animals appear on the coat of arms.

(Sorry for the forthcoming spoilers) Each section is alphabetical but kangaroo should be after horse and jaguar in the mammal section. This hindered me as I had kangaroo and leopard but couldn't think of mammals between letters k and l that were apparently the two missing answers in between - turns out they were 'h' and 'j', which caused the problem...

I can't believe no country has a bear of any sort on their flag. Seems like a missed opportunity.

I gave up on mahi. Everyone calls them mahi or dolphinfish except marketing people who say mahi twice.

Maybe because it's the only marsupial on here, but Kangaroos aren't mammals.

Marsupials belong to the Class Mammalia. They are mammals.

Would be just as wrong as saying that a rabbit isn't a mammal because it's a rodent.

No, that would be even more wrong. Rabbits are lagomorphs, not rodents.

So they do. Thanks.

But, I would argue that if you can be right with either turtle or tortoise, you should also be right with marlin or swordfish (or sailfish.)
