Because it's a test of knowledge, not spelling? I'm grateful the Countries quiz accepts Eretria, having had a good friend spelled such, I frequently mess up the country name.
Automatically went there, then in the confusion switched to David Bowie & Space Oddity. Now I'm going to be repeating Ground Control to Major Tom in my head for hours.
Having only ever used the name "Rock, Paper, Scissors", I used to genuinely think that "roshambo" was as Cartman described in an episode of South Park when he challenges Butters to a game:
"First, I kick you in the nuts as hard as I can, then you kick me in the nuts as hard as you can, and we go back and forth like that until one of us falls over." - Of course Cartman wins immediately after starting round #1...
Here was me going through actual musicians (White Stripes, Stooges, MC5) in my head (I have no idea who or how old Pamela Anderson is, hence the age discrepancy)...
I'm from the states. Rock paper scissors wasn't really popular in the 80s in NYC and I never heard of " Roshambo." There was an 80s model with that name lol!
I don't know if I should be happy or sad D:
It's known as both.
"First, I kick you in the nuts as hard as I can, then you kick me in the nuts as hard as you can, and we go back and forth like that until one of us falls over." - Of course Cartman wins immediately after starting round #1...
Cheers.
