Because it's a test of knowledge, not spelling? I'm grateful the Countries quiz accepts Eretria, having had a good friend spelled such, I frequently mess up the country name.

Because a part of knowledge is knowing how to spell correctly.

Only 24% know Uluru as Ayer's Rock?

I don't know if I should be happy or sad D:

I think most people (at least in the US) know it ONLY as Ayers' Rock, and don't know what 'Uluru' is referring to.

Uluru isn't called Ayer's Rock anymore. It hasn't been for nearly 10 years.

Whatever you think many people think of the rock as Ayers Rock and Uluru at the same time, especially oldies.

You should be happy. (And as a bonus, people won't wrongly put an apostrophe in its name any more.)

Having only ever used the name "Rock, Paper, Scissors", I used to genuinely think that "roshambo" was as Cartman described in an episode of South Park when he challenges Butters to a game:

"First, I kick you in the nuts as hard as I can, then you kick me in the nuts as hard as you can, and we go back and forth like that until one of us falls over." - Of course Cartman wins immediately after starting round #1...
