why are Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria the least guessed? there the states that most Australians live in
+6
level 80
Jan 27, 2014
Probably because they are named. Coming in with no knowledge of Australia, one could figure out Western, Northern and South pretty quick, Tasmania's pretty well known, and the Capital Territory sounds like a small... territory... around the Capital. Remembering which of the remaining 3 on the east are which is a tad harder. (Not much, but a tad).

Even an elementary kid can answer this with only a few mistakes. Three of the states/territories can be logically answered based from their straightforward names (Western Au, Northern Terr, South Au) with their straightforward borders, Tasmania is fairly known as an island, and the Capital Territory is completely obvious. You would only have to guess between QLD, NSW and Victoria and if you know where Sydney is, you'd probably guess NSW correctly.

I am at a loss as to why so many jetpunkers get their knickers in a twist over the time allotted. What earthly difference does it make if there is time over when you finish a quiz?.......... move on to another quiz. But to spend time whingeing about having time left on the clock is ridiculous. Remember ..... you are not being charged for time remaining.

Traveling in a fried-out Kombi On a hippie trail, heads full of zombie Met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and made me breakfast And she said... Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder. Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover Buying bread from a man in Brussels 6'4" and full of muscles I said "do ya speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich And he said... I come from a land down under Where beer does flow, and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder You better run, you better take cover Lyin' in a den in Bombay A slack-jaw, and not much to say I said to the man "Are you trying to tempt me? Because I come form the land of plenty." And he said... Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder. Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover
