17/20 of these cities have a lower population today than they did in 1981, with 7/20 showing declines of more than 20%.

it is joint 12/13 now. I think you might have looked at the order of the questions instead of the answer stats (which is indeed nr18), I doubt it has dropped that fast ánd risen again.

yep got 7 again, though I really should get 9 (bologna, verona) or even 10 I was thinking of the right town and knew it starts with p but always when I try to think of that city I can only think of pamplona...

of the rest I recognise parma, trieste, modena, messina though I would never think of it myself (now that I have written it, maybe next time I will get the first 2, I would just have to think of sad cheese or ham haha, triest(e) means sad in my language)

hm and mes is knife, messen is knives,, so "modern sad ham got sliced with knives". Modena, Trieste, Parma, Messina :D

And Bari Brescia could become bare breasts. This all happened in the cantina (Catania) There also was a talking tarantula, Prato Taranto (praat/praten is talk(ing) ). Which only leaves padua..hmm

A filed trip is always great, but as an Italian I can say this was pretty hard... didn't get all of them!

I totally forgot about the song “We open in Venice”. It sure would have helped.

I did remember to use “Brush up your Shakespeare” to help get Shakespeare’s plays!😊

Cheeses and meats got me through a bunch of these. Parma ham, Genoa salami, Bologna, and Bari (pasta brand). I guess the towns of Mozzarella and Provolone didn't make the cut ;-)

I answered the first six cities correctly, then missed 14 of the next 16. Disappointed that the population of the village of Corleone on the island of Sicily hasn't yet surpassed 185,000 people because scoring a 9 would have been so much more satisfying than the 8 I received.
