The size of the country made the answer rather obvious, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly where Russia touches the Atlantic. Is the Baltic one of the marginal seas you include?

Could be Baltic or Black sea. I added Baltic Sea to the caveat.

To everyone complaining about square miles for area, or feet for heights of mountains being used on other quizzes...the scores on this quiz is proof that the units don't matter and you are just being pedantic. The sizes are all relative and the units don't matter in the slightest.

How is there any proof that it doesnt matter? You have no idea what the scores would be if it was in another unit of measurement.

(though for a quiz like this it indeed hardly matters, cause the question is not about the size of the country, the location is basicly all you need to know, in this quiz, the size might help in a similar way as thing being in alphabetical order, if you are missing one it can lead you in the right direction)

The term 'marginal sea' simply refers to a sea that is adjacent to an ocean.

A MARGINAL SEA is "a division of an ocean, partially enclosed by islands, archipelagos, or peninsulas, adjacent to or widely open to the open ocean at the surface, and/or bounded by submarine ridges on the sea floor" (Wikipedia). Such seas are typically at the edges, or margins, of an ocean. It has nothing to do with the alternative meaning of marginal (i.e., "of secondary or minor importance").

The Mediterranean is not usually considered part of the Atlantic. Although there is a direct connection via the Strait of Gibraltar, the Men is not tidal and is not affected by any currents from the Atlantic.

Maybe specify that you aren't including overseas territories, otherwise I'm guessing Denmark would be on here for Greenland??

Greenland is not an overseas territory, it's an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The KoD is constitutionally defined as a unitary state and the powers the Greenlandic Self-Government has are devolved from the Danish parliament (the Folketing). It's constitutional status is comparable to Scotland within the UK.

I really feel like Denmark should be included in this as Greenland borders it. And if you'd rather not count Greenland as Denmark you should still include Greenland as its own country. If we never include overseas territories and never let them be in the quizes on their own, how are we suppossed to learn abouth them?

Normally you respond to comments, but in this case for some reason you haven't. Don't you think you should (1) add Denmark (for Greenland), (2) add a qualification excluding external territories, or (3) explain why it shouldn't be there?
