There actually is a Celtic Sea. It's more to the southwest of the isles, and it's west of the Channel. It touches southern Ireland and Wales, northern Cornwall, and western Brittany.
In some languages the sea southwest of Sweden is refered to as the East Sea (Dutch: Oostzee, German: Ostsee, Sweden: Östersjön). Maybe you could accept that as a possible answer...
