The "Arabian Gulf" is another name for the Persian Gulf so that should be accepted also.

Rather too easy. You should add a few more questions without adding any extra time. I had 2:24 to spare.

What the hell is Biscogne? There isn't a language that I know of that that calls Biscay that. Do you mean (Golfe de) Gascogne, which is the French name?

I've always liked how the "English" Channel bears this name in almost no language except English. It's called various variations of "Sleeve Channel" in almost every other language (La Manche, La Mancha, Ärmelkanal...). It's just the English who absolutely feel the need to slap their name on a sea they share with others.

Look, we were going through rough times. We lost the US and Canada, we lost Australia and New Zealand, we lost a lot of area around India, a huge swath of Africa and quite a few islands. That stuff was tough for us. We struggled. We had to find some way of coping with all those losses. :)

It also gives Gandalf, a French man who obviously hates the English, another opportunity to make a snide remark.

I recommend that you make it a "yellow box" quiz, otherwise it's just a naming random bodies of water quiz.

In some languages the sea southwest of Sweden is refered to as the East Sea (Dutch: Oostzee, German: Ostsee, Sweden: Östersjön). Maybe you could accept that as a possible answer...
