I knew the Narcissism Festival too, but was fumbling over the name. Bonfire of the Vanities kept dancing in my mind. Duh.

Articles aren't normally required. Usually I can type something like "naked dead" or "naked and dead".

Articles are not required at the beginning of a clue. We are pretty consistent with this. I don't want to start accepting answers without any articles because that would establish a precedent that we must always do that, and would require changing thousands of quizzes potentially.

A glyph is a symbol, not a letter. Perhaps use a more modern word, such as 'email' or the word 'message' in place of the word glyph?

Not all synonyms are exact. Letters are subsets of glyphs.

James Joyce wrote a book called Ulysses. Ulysses is a Latin variant of Odysseus (from the Iliad and the Odyssey)

I dont't see how that is funny or brilliant. Not better than the other clues (more boring imo, since it is nearly a translation)

'Starving' is an adjective whereas 'hunger' is a noun. It should be 'Starvation Amusements'.

Only missed Dusk. Couldn't think of anything but "Night", probably because the used bookstore I go to has enough copies of it to take up an entire shelf
