Go to the mall. American Eagle has stores called Aerie. Or just do crossword puzzles. It's the only way I've ever seen it spelled.

I've only ever known eyrie - maybe it's a US/British spelling difference thing? Maybe offer A/E as the starting letter and accept both?

I only know eyrie but haven't seen it used in crosswords before, or at least not frequently, so I don't think it fits here.

Haven't seen aerie used in crosswords either but assume it's a common American clue.

I thought the "I"'s were "L"'s at the top of the second column and it threw me off - my own fault as there is an "L" farther down..
