It is not clear that Charles Goodyear invented vulcanized rubber. It may have been Thomas Hancock.

For Roll Over Beethoven, all I could think of was Charles Grodin, who starred in the Beethoven movies. Ugh.

Atlas is a titan, not a god

In Greek mythology, the words "Titan" and "God" seem to be used interchangeably. ......... see: http://www.theoi.com/greek-mythology/titans.html

I don't accept that website as any authority. Anyone who has studied just a basic level of Greek mythology knows there is a clear difference between the titans and the gods. Perhaps your confusing 'god' with 'deity', which is understandable, but the gods were (mostly) the generation after the titans. I'm in accord with MagaiN - the clue should be amended to Titan.

I second this. I went through the Greek pantheon a good number of times before giving up; never would have thought to try a titan.

As a matter of fact, the titans *were* gods, since they were worshipped as such. It seems that the titans were just the previous pantheon worshipped in the region, whose cult was displaced by that of the olympians. Furthermore, in some cases the lines can be blurry, such as it happens with Aphrodite, originally born out of Ouranos' sperm in the water, and therefore predating the olympians and arguably a titan; while a later version has her being Zeus' daughter. As for Zeus himself, he along with his siblings was the offspring of a titan. so the titans *were* gods, they just weren't *olympian* gods.

Good quizz I think that, as the NYC mob leader, Charles "Lucky" Luciano should be accepted for "leader of a murderous "family"... Don't you think ?

Why is he missing? Why do you (and many others) think you can dictate who or what should be in other people's quizzes? Believe it or not, it's not about you!

"Prince" charles, really? I was trying so hard to think what his last name could be... "of wales" didnt work... out of desperation I tried parker (from camilla) and got another hit that way. The prince part is so obvious in that answer I would nt have thought it could be the answer. I wonder if windsor-batten is accepted. (I looked up what his last name would be eventhough he doesnt use it)
