So was Eleanor; she was Theodore's niece.

Eleanor was Teddy's niece, so FDR married his 5th cousin, once removed, so all three were related prior to the marriage.

In fact, Eleanor Roosevelt never changed her name, interestingly enough.

I used to know someone whose surname was Gifford-Gifford. I've often wondered why someone decided it was worth hyphenating...

Interestingly enough, they were related AFTER the marriage too...

I had trouble with the Marleys - One ostentatiously common, one ostentatiously weird, and one ostentatiously not really ostentatiously either way.

You see, the Bee Gees is a musical act and is made up of three brothers. They share a family name, and even have different first names. That makes them perfect for this quiz!

The Bee Gees = The B Gs = The Brothers Gibb. Little bit of musical maths for ya!

I just learned this yesterday from another quiz that included a clue about the group. The B in the BeeGee's isn't "brothers" and the G only partly stands for "Gibb".

It's actually the shared initials of three people: Bill Goode (one of their early promoters), Bill Gates (a Brisbane radio DJ), and Barry Gibb.

Could include Branwell to the Brontë sisters? Not quite as famous but still wrote and painted…

Great quiz though!

The surname is di Medici not just 'Medici' so correct answers are being discounted.

A quick Google suggests that the when speaking of the family as a whole, the de/di isn't used. It's simply the Medici or House of Medici. Individuals, however, do use the de/di to denote their connection to the family.

Misspelled Versace. Didn't know the Bee Gees were the brothers Gibb.
