Growing up, it was always the four oceans, the Mississippi River was the longest in the US, and Pluto was a planet. Somehow since then, the world went and got a fifth ocean, the Missouri River moved to the top of the fluvial podium, and Pluto got the sack.

Please be kind to those of us who went to school in the 1960s. They add an ocean here, take away a planet there, and then they add all those extra countries to Europe -- I have trouble remembering what I ate for breakfast, sometimes. Be patient, we'll get there.

I always knew the Arctic Ocean, but don't get me started an the little countries in the oceans! Whoever heard of Sao Tome when we were in school? Or almost everything in Africa....there weren't more than 10 or 12 back then. No Burundi, Benin, Burkina Faso, Lesotho, Eritrea, Djibouti, South Sudan, Mauritania(?), Mauritius(?), 2 Congos... I only learned that geography here this year!

I guess I'm a dummy, I have never in my life heard of something blue. The phrase has always been said to me as: Something old, something new, something borrowed and something used.

This is one of those which for my aging memory I allow some light cheating. In this case, I was allowed to look up the SatC girl because I remembered Cynthia Nixon (of whom I've been a fan since she was Mozart's hysterical maid in Amadeus). And I was just going to leave that list of American railroad companies, until I realised unprompted that they must be from the American Monopoly board.

Havent played the uk version either, but some are emerging from my brain as we speak. Kings cross, Piccadilly circus, fleet street. I am sure I know more of them. God only knows how / where (why) I picked that info up... it is not like it is something often seen in books, movies, the news, documentaries or even floating around the internet. (like how you know a lot of (characters from) movies while you have never seen them.))
