(1) Who is Apple Martin? (2) Oh, her daughter. (3) Who cares?

She's famous because she's named Apple.

Who's Chris Martin?

I assume this is a rhetorical question, but in case it is not, he's ex-husband of Gwyneth Paltrow. Other than that, frontman of Coldplay. Famous enough?

Why assume it's rhetorical? I had no idea what the frontman of Coldplay was named (and I probably won't remember five minutes from now either).

Sure enough, I forgot. And will do so again because I just don't care who the lead singer is to a band I hate.

Nobody really hates Coldplay. They're far too middling to warrant hatred. They're hardly amazing either which why no one has ever met a Coldplay superfan. What would a Coldplay superfan even look like? If they exist, I bet they're pretty boring which begs the question of whether they're really capable of being "super" fans. It's a super boring paradox.

I went to a Coldplay concert once. It was nice.

I went to a Coldplay concert once. It was a small club and we were all crowded near the stage. (It was right when X & Y came out. Coldplay was already huge and had done this small concert as a special treat.) The guy next to me, who was reading a paperback book, told me that I had to move because I was standing too close to him. Too close to him, on the floor at a concert. And that is what Coldplay superfans are like.

It's actually Sofia Coppola, with an 'F', not a 'PH'

Count me as one more in the "being the child of a celebrity isn't by itself enough to count as being famous" camp.

The tabloid industry would very much disagree with you.

Except....they are famous. Doesn't matter how strongly you disagree with HOW or WHY they are famous, but they are in fact known to a lot of people. If you don't know who Suri Cruise is, you must have been living under a rock for a decade or so!

I knew a man who named his son Jack Daniels because that's what they were drunk on at the time their son was conceived.

only 34% know JFK ?
+1
Level 37

It took me a minute to make the connection. John and Rose are such common names. I only got them when I remembered that this was a "famous..." quiz.
+2
Level 82
Jul 10, 2019
That was the only one I missed the first time. I know JFK, obviously, but John isn't exactly an uncommon name. Plus I had no idea what his mother's name was.

Agree with kalbahamut. Obviously nearly everyone knows JFK but just didn't make the connection here

When I glanced at "Ron and Rand" I first said to myself that Ron Howard was the son and Rance Howard was father. I was extremely confused when Howard wasn't accepted.

Tried 'Place' for Peyton....... never heard of Manning, Spelling, Paul, Martin or Tyler ..... Famous for what?
+2
Level 66

Manning's are American Football players, Spelling was TV producer and daughter was actress on one of his shows Beverly Hills 90210, both Paul's were US Politicians (That was the only one I missed. I could only think of Ron Howard, Weasley, Reagan or Ayn Rand.), Martin is a singer of a band called Cold Play and Tyler is a singer of a band called Aerosmith.
