I know fudge all about sports most of the time but I still should have gotten Jerry Rice... dad used to win his fantasy football leagues with him all the time.
For narrator, I kept trying James Earl Jones ("this is CNN") before getting to Freeman. Jones was born in Arkabutla, Mississippi, so he is a legit answer. Both merit inclusion, perhaps with more precise clues.
Because I really don't know much about mainstream sports, I missed Jerry Rice and Cool Papa Bell. Also, because I don't keep up with popular music and I am well into my 40s, I missed Soulja Boy. I got everything else.
It could be interesting to put something about the Miss Americas that have come out of Mississippi, including the 2 that were back-to-back. Also, James Earl Jones would be a good addition to this quiz.
Also, Katrina was really, really bad, yes, but people forget about Camille which was not as big and didn't carry as much of a storm surge, but was a more intense hurricane upon landfall. Camille split an island in two and there is a big channel in-between them now! And the remnants of Camille tons of people in mountain country in Virginia via landslides.

Still, a pretty good quiz for my native state.
