George Washington was born in Westmoreland County. James Madison lived in Orange County. Robert E. Lee lived in Arlington. Jefferson lived in Charlottesville.
Probably because the places where the colonial figures lived weren't incorporated as towns yet. They lived on sprawling private estates. I haven't looked into it, but I'd suspect Washington simply lived at "Mt. Vernon, in the colony of Virginia" rather than "Norfolk, Virginia" (or wherever Mt. Vernon is), which probably didn't exist yet.
Allen Iverson and the word "important" should never be used in the same sentence. Unless, of course, your idea of a real man is one who hits women in the head with chairs, does time in prison, illegally carries concealed weapons & illegal drugs, throws his wife out of the house NAKED, threatens people with a loaded gun, wields his fame and wealth to bully and intimidate completely innocent people who happen to be in the way of what he wants for himself, and can barely speak English. (he doesn't speak any other language)
Oops! I just remembered that Allen Iverson was really good at throwing a large balls through orange, metal circles. So check that previous comment. He's a really important guy after all.
And he owned slaves! (Oh wait, that was those other, important guys. They each owned between 100 and 600 during their lives. And some of them were probably NAKED because, well, you know. To be fair though, some of them probably preferred whips over guns.)
Actually, I have something in the back of my head that tells me I should know Warren Beatty for something, yet...
