Why wouldn't she? Did you notice Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and One Direction on this list? If Miley Cyrus has followers, why wouldn't Selena Gomez? No accounting for the taste of teenagers.
I know it's your quiz and all, but if you're basing this on anything other than "things that I like," then Browncoats really belongs on there. Just Google it, and every single result is about Firefly fandom, which is very much a thing despite the fact that the show didn't even last one full season on TV. Also, "Buffistas" isn't a thing I've ever heard once, in twenty years of being a Buffy fan.
Yeah, I have also been a devoted Buffy & Angel fan, including all the comic continuations, and I have never ONCE heard "Buffistas" in my life. Although not super-common, I'm sure most of us would have eventually tried "Scoobies", so if you must keep the Buffy clue, I'd suggest accepting Scoobies and "Scooby Gang". Or maybe Slayerettes. Hmm – see the problem? There's no strong consensus on our moniker, but if it's Buffistas I never got the memo.
(After I did some research:) Ahhh. It appears "Buffistas" are specifically the filk Buffy fans, that is, people who compose poems and songs to express their fanniness. If you (wisely! ha ha) decide to punt this one, might I suggest Insane Clown Posse –> Juggalos as its replacement? I was very surprised that one wasn't on there to begin with.
As an extreme Psych-O and operator of (I think) the largest fan psych-only twitter account, I must express my sorrow that Psych was not included in this. We may not be a large fandom I guess, but the ones who are... (are really psycho!)
Just FYI...real Star Trek fans aren't Trekkies, they're Trekkers. The only people who use the term Trekkies are people who aren't real Star Trek fans but think they're being hip.
What an odd idea. There is no such thing as "real" or "not real" fansI There are only fans, period. Some might be more knowledgeable than others or been fans for longer, but no one's "fannishness" is worth more than someone else's. In my opinion, to even think so is completely against the very ideal of inclusiveness and tolerance that Star Trek is about. IDIC, my friend. As to the Trekker vs Trekkie epithet, I believe this pointless argument is as old as the fandom. I will only say that the younger generation use both without distinction as embodying a love for Trek, which after all is all that matters.
False. Trekkies and Trekkers are interchangeable. It's no different than how some people prefer the term geek and others nerd. Source: I'm a (somewhat lapsed) Trekkie.
As a Trek fan, Trekkers sounds stupid. Not a fan of "Trekkers," personally. I don't call myself a Trekkie either, but gun to my head, I'd take Trekkie.
Quite a few new ones could be added or possibly made into a sequel. A few that previous commenters have mentioned, plus "Pine Nuts" for Chris Pine and "Jabronis" for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
I tried both Dr. Seuss and The Who! Didn't get around to putting them together to get Dr. Who though...dang. Guess I need to spend more time on the internet...
I've, at various points in my life, been involved in the fandom of: Transformers (pre Michael Bay), "Weird Al" Yankovic, Magic: The Gathering (c. 1994 - 2016), Star Wars (pre-Rian), Gargoyles and Disney in general, and Nine Inch Nails. I'm not aware of any goofy names that apply to fans of any of those. I'm surprised I can't think of any for Star Wars fans other than "nerd."
I think the case with Star Wars applies to MTG too. I'm playing it since 2015 and most of the people there are quite stereotypical nerds. I like the community though, so I definitely don't mean it in an offensive way. :)
I was thinking the same about Star Wars. Maybe it's just been too universally popular for the fanbase to have come up with a name. Seems to be more of a niche to have never seen a Star Wars film at all. People certainly say it with pride.
Kinda surprised there aren't factions like Prequelites, or Original Jedis though, given how they bicker. Just see a lot of "You aren't a REAL Star Wars fan if you do/don't like the prequels/sequels/extended universe..."

Assuming nerd and geek the same is just silly. Though there might be sóme resemblance, the two things are nothing like eachother.
