Master Splinter was in charge of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, just as Papa Smurf was in charge of the smurfs. Leonardo was like a field commander, but Splinter was the general.

I agree completely. I put Splinter first too. The answer should be changed. Calling Leonardo the leader of the Turtles is like calling Cyclops the leader of the X-Men. Professor X and Splinter play the exact same role.

However, to quote from the theme song of the 80's cartoons: "Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines."

Fine I'll allow Splinter.

All this time I always thought it was "Leonardo leaps, Donatello does machines." I always thought that was strange. Leads makes more sense. :D though of course in the T-U-R-T-L-E Power song from the live action movie it says: "Splinter's the teacher and they are the students. Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello make up the team with one other fellow: Raphael- he's the leader of the group"

I guess it really depends at which point...During the last 10 years or so, Cyclops totally has been the leader of the X-Men

Shouldn't King Koopa be acceptable for Bowser?

It should be. I've seen him on 3 or 4 different quizzes now, though, and it never accepts King Koopa.

Wasn't Splinter the leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

I agree with the Splinter comments. I also got confused with the Lost Boys thing, I was thinking of the 80's movie with Kiefer Sutherland and Corey Feldman.

I missed Lost Boys for the same reason. If I had thought of Peter Pan of course I would have gotten it. But I was thinking teen vampires.

2 years later and I still tried typing in "Keifer Sutherland." Peter Pan did not occur to me.

I didn't even try to answer the question because i haven't seen that vampire movie. When Peter Pan popped up, I felt dumb.

yes, me too. I tried 'david' and 'max' and then figured they wanted last names, which I had no idea on.

Yup, I was thinking of the Lost Boys movie also. In that case it would've been the vampire bloke with the white dog, whatever his name was. Also, Powerpuff Girls, very much like the Ninja Turtles, the real boss is Professor Utonium.

I definitely typed in Kiefer Sutherland, not that I expected it to be there. What the heck was his name in that movie?

Except that the closing theme song explicitly says "Blossom, commander and the leader"

Serpentor for Cobra? He IS the Emperor of Cobra, after all. I suppose it depends on where your loyalties lie, though.

"Name the individuals who LEDS..." Typo. Not a bad quiz though. P.S. I only scored 5/22. P.P.S. Powerpuff Girls! Now that's the stuff! Back then a little blood wasn't too much for a kids' cartoon.

To answer some of the queries above (ie. TMNT) I think there is a difference between a leader, and the person in charge. Pedantry maybe, but worth considering.
