Only one Mary? First Ladies apparently have more original names than their husbands

I think that is to be expected, as popular female names are more diverse anyway. It's not as different as it could be though. Counting Bill = William, Jimmy = James etc, I make it 28 different names for the men and 38 for the women.

Julia Tyler was John Tyler's second wife, not his first. She was quite the prima donna, too.

I almost never ask for spelling exceptions, but could "Leticia" be accepted for "Letitia"? It's not a super common name, but both spellings are used, and anyone who can guess either version deserves the point, I think (no bias or anything, of course).

Thank goodness I decided to try “Lady Bird” for Lyndon Johnson. At first I thought that it wouldn’t count, but then I decided I might as well try it anyway.

I don’t think I ever in my heard her referred to as Claudia.

I remembered that Frances Cleveland had gone by "Frank" early on in life, but after trying that and "Frankie" to no avail, I couldn't remember what the more feminine version of her name was. Tried "Francine," but didn't hit on "Frances." Alas.

A number of "Lizzes."

Lucy Hayes was known as "Lemonade Lucy," as she didn't permit alcohol in the White House. The moniker may not have been used extensively until past her husband's term.
