If you are proud of it you probably actually know a lot about that person, how else would you come to the conclusion that would be someone you wish you didnt know.

Nothing Compares 2 U was originally done by Prince and the Family. While it may be best known as O'Connor's song most famous song, it's a cover.

I was about to point this out -- you just barely beat me to it!

That was probably just a demo? Sinead's version cannot be said to be a cover, as Prince wrote it specifically for her.

Wrong. Original release by Prince and the Family was in 1985 although it was never released as a single. OConnors version was released in 1990. Hard to write a song for someone you had never met. In fact after she released the album and made it big, the first time Prince met her, he asked why she cursed so much in public and she told him to "eff off", according to her.

It's definitely a cover, but it was made famous by Sinead.

I think it works both ways. Just like "The Beatles", "The Rolling Stones", "The Beach Boys" etc.

Either answer should be accepted. (I assume they both are.) But missing link is pointing out "the" should be missing from the official answer as it's not technically part of the name of the band. Fun fact... this is also true of Bee Gees!

I tried to spell Burt Bacharach like 4 different ways before I was like, "Oh yeah, Carpenters".

According to Wikipedia, there's no "g" at the end of the Journey song title.

I actually sat there trying to sing out the song thinking I had it wrong because I hadn't typed the 'g!'

Just an aesthetic, but the answer for "Goodbye Norma Jean" and "In the time of chimpanzees, I was a monkey" display in the opposite format of the other answers.

I love these music quizzes, but 50% of the songs just keep getting recycled throughout. I guesses almost half the artists in this quiz because I know they are frequently in other ones.

I thought this was a collection of the most obvious choices from the Karaoke Hall of Fame, but judging by the percentages, I don't know what I'm talking about. That Journey song needs to go away and never come back. It's got to be the most overplayed song in the western canon.

probably a good idea if that was switched out for another song to avoid the freebie answer.

These two options should be accepted:

'Nothing compares to you' and 'All i want for Xmas is you'

We remember words, not the spelling. Please consider accepting the alternatives. Thank you.

Wow, probably the lowest percentage of the most correctly answered question I remember seeing. That was worded really terribly but hopefully you know what I mean.
