Other names that could apply to this:

Ron Paul

Daniel day Lewis

If fictional characters could count Nancy Drew would be a great one as well.

Fun quiz! There are several combinations that would work but aren't accepted and part of the fun was rethinking those. Fackwacker is right. You just have to figure out what name is accepted. I would love to see more quizzes like this.

I almost always see Perry used as a last name. Maybe it is just common where I'm from.

Perry Mason, Perry Como, Perry Ellis, and I remember when the country humorist and preacher, Grady Nutt, named his son Perry so he could sign his name as P. Nutt if he chose to. I also know two men with the first name of Perry, so it's been around for a while as a given name.

Jun 12, 2015
Very difficult, due to all the possible choices that WEREN'T included - such as Nancy Grace, Ron Paul, etc., as other commenters have mentioned. Going thru the list I was surprised at how many alternative answers fit the category.

Fun, but much more difficult than the first quiz. As a non-American, this time I didn't know the majority of these people. Although there were several were I went "DUH" when I saw the answer, because I DID know them.

Really? I felt they were all well-known enough that I didn't need to resort to process of elimination.

A++++ Lenny BRuce

+1
Level 82
Jun 17, 2017
Lenny Bruce is one of the names I didn't know. The others were Dylan Thomas (who turns out is Welsh, pretty sure being American wouldn't help knowing him), Les Paul, and I wasn't sure about Loretta Lynn... at first I was thinking of the Chinese softcore adult film star... then remembered her name was Loretta Lee. I've heard of the country music singer but am not so familiar.
+2
Level 75
Jun 17, 2017
You're too young to remember Les Paul and Mary Ford. They were a singing duo in the '50s and early '60s until their famous divorce. Vaya con Dios is the only song I remember them singing. Lenny Bruce was a comedian from the early '60s who became more famous after being arrested under the obscenity laws. Check out the movie, "Lenny" with Dustin Hoffman starring as Lenny if you want to know more. (Valerie Perrine played Lenny's stripper wife and was supposedly better than Hoffman. I didn't see the movie.) Loretta Lynn was the subject of the movie, "Coal Miner's Daughter" starring Sissy Spacek. Loretta is considered royalty among country music fans.

@ander even I have heard of les paul ( while not haveing heard of half on this list) and I was born in the 80s.

I had to look it up to be certain, but the connection for knowing the name is, it is the name of one of the most famous guitar models, which is named after the musician.

Maybe, but then you'd be left with Ross Tracy, or Tracy Ross, and who are they?
+1
Level 67
Jul 30, 2019
more famous than diana ross? I dont think so, definitely not by last name. Princess Di(ana) maybe gets close. But if you would ask people, outside the UK, what diana's last name was 90% would not know the answer. And even given the name, diana spencer, most wouldnt know who was meant (and if they would get it, it would be because if you ask famous people with the first name diana, she wóuld be one of the first mentioned)

I had no idea what do do with this quiz and had to "give up" to see what you were looking for before taking it again.

Yup, I figured you needed to add either the surname or firstnames yourself, not that you need to use the grid for first AND last. There is nothing to indicate that. Way too vague, the idea is interesting though

It really isnt clear what the intention of this quiz is, it could use a better description. Like combine the names from the list to get the full names for famous people (sorry my english isnt 100%) . It really seemed one part was given and you would have to add the other part yourself
