Regarding question 15 : Technically, there was a Regence period between 1610 (Henri IV's assassination) and 1614, when Louis XIII officially came to age (at 13). In fact, it was only by 1617 that his mother Marie of Medici stepped down from her position as a Régente.

oui mais Marie de Médicis ne régnait pas seule elle était entourée de Ministres qui dirigeaient le pays aussi. Elle était là juste parce que c'était la seule de la famille royale qui pouvait être là. De même pour la régence de 1643 après la mort de Louis XIII jusqu'en 1651 (début du règne de Louis XIV). Officiellement les femmes ne pouvaient pas accéder au trône seule.

Nice quiz! Fun fact: France never colonized Chile, but Orélie-Antoine de Tounens, a french citizen, proclaimed himself the King of Araucania and Patagonia (part of Chile and Argentina) in the 19th century.

Ah - I was thinking of Catherine de Medici when the women monarchs question came up but in my haste forgot that she was only regent.
