As a side note, the symbol for scales and recycling don't display in Chrome (I'm using version 33.0.something). Had to load the quiz in firefox to see them.
Phone and woman will work now. It works on Chrome for me, version 33. But it's not a good sign. I have a feeling I'm going to catch a lot of flack on this quiz. :)
Got them all with almost four minutes left, but was a little annoyed at having to guess what it was looking for. For "÷", it didn't accept the name of the symbol ("obelus"), only what the symbol stood for. Whereas for "✡" and "☭" it didn't accept the things the symbols stand for ("Judaism" and "Communism") but only the names of the symbols.
I would have made "Registered Trademark" a little harder. It filled itself in when I typed Registered. Never know what people might think, Registered Copyright? Registered Company? Registered Logo? My two cents. Good quiz.
Scales and Recycling fields are empty, Female sign didn't work properly (it's just circle and horizontal line below). Is it a keyboard fault or operating system? Quizzer from Poland.
I Don't know any of these questions only 4 so I have to just get unlimited time on this quiz it is a hard quiz but I know 4 and I am going to say them on here euro ,pound, peace, Division how many do you know I want to get many of these on this quiz what is ban the bomb
It represents an unstressed vowel, the uhhh sound you make when thinking of what to say. Essentially, it's the vowel sound that takes the least effort.
Is the prescription one an international thing? I have never seen it or heard about it. Or is it something specifically used in english speaking countries?
all the other ones were easy, only one I couldnt remember in time was maltese (tried several things, like templar and georgian, which are basicly the same cross, just not the name unicode has chosen to use. Actually the two I gave are more correct because a real maltese cross, does not have width in the center (I hope you get what I mean) it joins into a point.)
That symbol stands for the latin word 'recipe', meaning 'take thou'. As a one time pharmacist I was annoyed that the quiz didn't accept 'recipe' but wanted 'prescription', which isn't strictly correct.
Might it be reasonable to accept 'Ban The Bomb' or 'Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament' for what now seems to be called the peace sign? I belive the symbol was designed for those movements in the 50s.

But why would anyone even want to have this stuff in Unicode? Are people too lazy to add pictures?
Hammer and sickle is not a communism or

Great idea for a quiz, lots of fun, thank you.
- "Magen David" for the Star of David
- "Communism" and "socialism" for the hammer and cycle
- "Infinite" for infinity
