In English Namaz and Salat both mean pray, as this is an English Language Quiz "Pray" is correct. (deeper than this and we start to get into the Shia vs Sunni Namaz.
Fun fact. Pelota means ball in Spanish, and outside Basque regions the general sport of bashing a ball to a wall it is called Pelota Vasca (Basque ball). In Euskara language it's called Pilota or Euskal Pilota (should accept pilota as well, btw). Jai alai is a variant that uses a basket, which confers that super speed to the ball.
Thanks to this quiz, I learned that chimpanzee is not the same as monkey. I was going to complain that monkey wasn't accepted but I looked it up and shore 'nuff. Chimpanzees are not monkeys.
I wrote "stem" as the part of the brain, on the assumption that I wouldn't need to rewrite "brain". Wasn't accepted, so I tried "medulla oblongata". Not accepted either. WTF?
It is not a persons last name though ;) so technically no reason to omit the first part
(btw the word is hersenschors in dutch (hersenen means brains) just saying schors would be weird, cause that means the bark of a tree. well just saying stem makes me think of the stem of a flower)
The shuttle was so called because it went into space, landed back on Earth (on wheels) and could be used again. So it "shuttled" back and forth to space. Neither the V2 nor the Saturn V could be described as shuttles.
The Saturn V was a spacecraft but the V2 was not, it was a ballistic missile. The thing they both have in common is that they are propelled by rockets.
I wasn't suggesting that the answer should be Formula 1, or badminton. I was just saying that it is silly to suggest that Jai Alai is "the fastest sport in the world".
And I know that it's not the quiz setter saying it either - they are just setting a question based on what other people say.
To slightly misquote one of my favorite tv shows: "It's not that [Michael Bay]'s movies have gratuitous sex and gratuitous violence. It's that they suck. They're terrible. But people go to see them because they have gratuitous sex and gratuitous violence. Now, if we could just get people to stop going to see crappy movies, [Bay] would stop making them, I promise you."
Lots of people think that. The inferiority complex carried by some short men is called the "Napoleon Complex" based on the misconception that Napoleon sought power to compensate for the inferiority he felt from his small stature.
it's jalai.... -_-
(btw the word is hersenschors in dutch (hersenen means brains) just saying schors would be weird, cause that means the bark of a tree. well just saying stem makes me think of the stem of a flower)
Again, not saying the question is wrong; just that they are daft claims to make
