Very fun quiz. Was this partially inspired by my Very Tricky Analogies quiz? Some of the hints are similar. I had many more geographical analogies in mind for that one but I wanted to mix things up. Didn't occur to me to make a whole quiz just on that one subject.

I got everything except Alps, Alberta, Krakatoa and Kiliminjaro on my first go. Some of these were a bit tricky.

Very good quiz. Very original. Needs more alternate spellings for Deutschland. I knew the answer but couldn't get the spelling and had to look up the spelling.

I'm nit-picking here, but Ayers Rock has no apostrophe. Looked it up when I got it wrong and the guy it's named after was Sir Henry Ayers.

Baghdad is about 85 km from the site of Babylon. Tunis is about 53 km from Carthage. Seems like an appropriate analogy.

No, Hawaii and Oahu are two different islands. Hawaii can refer to the entire island chain, of course, but that's not what the question is looking for.
