I guess when it says "soviet dictators" it means "dictator of the Soviet Union", not "soviet, and dictator of whichever country"... otherwise I'm a professional soccer player in Europe, because I play soccer, I live in Europe and I have a job
Man I am sick of Harry Potter and LOTR questions on so many of these quizzes. Not everyone cares about these movies. Every once in a while I can understand, especially on pop culture quizzes, but I don't understand why they are SO ubiquitous on this site.
Looking at the stats, either they are popular amongst JetPunk members or people swat up on them just for these quizzes. I had heard of the best known and guessed at the others to no avail
Same, it's a passing fad that was only popular with a certain age bracket. I also don't think the Hunger Games are so universally known that it needs to be in every other quiz.
Also suggestion: "Soviet leaders" instead of dictators. Many of the people on the list never held anything close to absolute power.
Interesting choice to call the bestselling book series of all time, released over 20 years ago and still culturally relevant a "passing fad." Although I do agree that questions on the series are probably more prevalent on Jetpunk than they deserve to be.
Basically "I'm so sick of not knowing the answers to the questions on this quiz site, despite being fully aware of the gaps in my knowledge and actively choosing not to broaden my horizons"
It's not exactly 'broadening horizons' to watch lame kids films for the sake of doing a quiz! The point being that in 3 quizzes there are 2 whole sections about one series of films...?
Given that 85% of people managed to get at least Ron I'd say the Weasleys are well known enough to be considered general knowledge even if you don't personally know it. If literally everyone had to know something to be classed as general knowledge then quizzes would be pointless because everyone would get 100% every time.
I too had never heard of them; the reason I only got Ron was simply due to typing in random names. After looking them up I now understand why a lot of people HAVE heard; popular culture is not my thing!
Calling Gorbachev a dictator is a bit of a stretch, especially when Putin would easily qualify despite the current veneer of ever-vanishing democracy in Russia.
Also suggestion: "Soviet leaders" instead of dictators. Many of the people on the list never held anything close to absolute power.
