"but if you convert that to metric units then it's roughly the same. Also, Spain has more empanadas" - I feel like this is the point people should have picked up Kalbahamut was not being entirely serious. Actually, I think that point was probably his first comment, but definitely by here.

Aug 14, 2018
Um... @kalbahamut is right though. Spain and Canada are not exactly the same size, but they're close if you convert it to the right units. It's 19.73 times bigger in inches, but that is just under 1 metre... It's just the Mercator projection. Ellesmere Island in Canada is named after Ellesmere, Shropshire, England because they are the same size, for example. And Spain has more people and more cities called Madrid. It also has more international borders and is further east. @bridog is Fake News.

I got the exact same score. The limit to your speeds is probably not how fast you can type (I type at a medium pace and made several typos that I had to backspace) but how quickly you can identify the countries. For me, the identification takes almost no time at all because I know all of them so well that I don't have to think. If you know the material well, you can get a really fast time on the first try.

Jun 22, 2017
It's really not impossible guys. If we could post screen shots I could easily show you 1) that people can quickly identify the countries 2) some people are just very fast typers. For example, on the "count as high as you can one minute sprint" quiz, I could type to 148 in 60 seconds. That's about 2.467 keys per second. So don't go off at people before looking at the facts.

Jan 6, 2015
"Designed to show the whole world", no it's designed to show 99% of the world, the area around the poles would be near infinite. By the way, we already had better projections in the 20th century (Robinson, Sinusoid etc). Why not use those? @Kfroog. I agree with you, but I have a more anti-Mercator opinion than you.
