Surely you could have a few different spelling suggestions for beauxbatons? I mean does adding an extra T really matter?

We had lots of different spellings for that one. But we added some more. :)

But, I may point out that J.K. Rowling made up this place and there is only one real spelling.

@dragonlife don't be a knob. You know full well some people have dyslexia or have not been so privileged with education or perhaps aren't familiar enough with french to be able to figure out or remember the spelling so do not insinuate that people should have to get the spelling correct. The quiz is testing harry potter knowledge, not spelling

I also feel like the fact that it's a made up word should mean the quiz would be more lenient on spelling. people are much more likely to misspell a made up word than a real english word.

It has never been referred to as 'Private' before, so I don't see why it should be accepted as an alternative

A very nice quiz. Just a thought - the author of this quiz clearly does not regularly travel to/from King's Cross, otherwise he would accept "KingsX" as the correct answer (:

I thought the Beauxbatons were "Fleur Academy". I confused Fleur Delacour with the whole school. *bangs head against wall.

I had an irritating moment when I confused the shrieking shack with the screaming shack. Great(!) But I remembered after!

I tried creaking and then screaming. Shrieking sounds sort of like a combo of those (which leaves you creaming as the other outcome of the mix)

Can you allow "Secret Chamber"?
+1
level 33
Aug 31, 2016
Why though? The chamber is evidently not secret to some people but it HAS secrets therefore, it being called "The Chamber of Secrets," NOT the "Secret chamber".

I agree with babbaloo, even though I got it right. In my first language, "Chamber of Secrets" is translated to "Secret Chamber" in the books. It probably happens in a lot of languages too. It wouldn't hurt to add "Secret Chamber".

From Prisoner of Azkaban, chapter 5:

"'Do you know much about Hogsmeade?' asked Hermione keenly. 'I've read it's the only entirely non-Muggle settlement in Britain —'"

Seriously, can you name another all-magical village from the books, much less one that's featured as heavily as Hogsmeade?

Knockturn Alley should also be accepted as a magical street in London.
