Do they ever call them that in the movies? I've seen the first two, and I don't remember that.

They definitely do in Aliens, when the colonial marines are being briefed at the begining, thats when hicks confirms its a bug hunt

They get called that in the 2nd movie, but it's just the inexperienced officer trying to look smart by using a fancy word for "alien." It's not actually the name of the aliens themselves.

The artist who created the Alien (an artist named H. R. Geiger, whom you should all look at immediately!) is the one who gave them the label of Xenomorphs. So, that is technically their name, as that was the name given by the creator. However, the name is only mentioned in the movie as a nod to the artist's wishes. It's not really stressed too much! Fun fact: The word "xenomorph" comes from the Greek "xenos," meaning "stranger," and the word "morphe," meaning "shape, form." So the name is actually really creepy because a "xenomorph" is one who takes the form of a stranger, using their corpses as incubation chambers and their DNA as inspiration. Yikes!

It's a horror movie. That's sort of the point. (She freaks me out too, and I haven't even seen it!)

movie makeup has certainly gotten better over the years because samara is evil and extremely creepy but Daveigh Chase is quite pretty

The Exorcist still freaks me out the most for some reason. Maybe because I first saw it when I was way too young.

The Ring offends me with it's boringness and dumb premise. The Exorcist makes me laugh.

For Hannibal Lecter, maybe accept "Hannibal", "Red Dragon", and "Manhunter." These are all other movies that he has been featured in. In addition, the series is considered the "Hannibal" tetralogy. Also, Red dragon is the first book of the series where the character was first introduced.

Accepting "Hannibal" would make it too easy. But agree on Red Dragon.

I've never seen Child's Play, but I gave it a shot with the only one I had heard of, Bride of Chucky. I wasn't a bit surprised when it wasn't accepted.

It always kind of bugs me when Hannibal Lecter is put down on villain lists. He's a villain to some, sure, but he's not THE villain. Buffalo Bill never gets the credit he deserves!

For the clue "Hannibal", there are several options that should work. Red Dragon, Manhunter, Hannibal, and whatever the name of that crappy prequel about young Hannibal. All of these films featured Hannibal Lecter.

I have a hard time putting Hannibal Lecter in the "horror villians" basket. In that the books and movies are thrillers rather than strictly horror. I guess you could point out horror themes within some thriller movies (Se7en for example) but for me horror movies generally fit the criteria so brilliantly examined in the "Scream" movies.

I'm 12 and I got all of them. Then again I LOVE horror but it's weird how supernatural things I'm scared of more than things that could actually kill me like a murderer. :/
