These are the easiest questions which Ken missed that I could find. But, unlike JetPunk, Ken only got a few seconds to answer and had to guess the correct answer on the first try. Doing well on this quiz does not make you smarter than Ken Jennings :)

All good fun, thank you, @Quizmaster.

Unless you are accepting only the answers that Jeopardy would have, please consider “short-sightedness” as an alternative answer for “Myopia is the medical term for this”. Thank you.

Is short sightedness really the same thing as near sightedness, though? I don't know about elsewhere, but where I'm from short sightedness means not thinking ahead about the consequences before making a decision, and has nothing to do with eye sight.

Ha ha, @loganite! I consulted multiple sources to make sure I wasn’t going to make a fool of myself by suggesting something inaccurate. (Be grateful I didn’t suggest “presbyopia”, courtesy of a sister with 30 years’ experience in the optical industry.)

While “short-sightedness” has definitely acquired the figurative meaning you mentioned, it still retains its original literal meaning, i.e., it’s synonymous with “nearsightedness” and used instead of the medical term “myopia”—it is Downunder, anyway.

In the UK, it is nearly always known as short-sightedness

Today I learned: in some locations, "short-sighted" means what I'm used to calling near-sighted. Never heard it used other than the way @loganite described before today.

quick note to the comment above, presbyopia and myopia are actually quite different. Myopia is the inability to see well beyond the point of maximum vision which is shorter than normal because of eyeballs being too deep. They don't see well objects that are far away. Presbyopia is a loss of ability to acommodate - to change the depth of focus on near objects. They see far away objects reasonably well but can't read at close proximities so they extend their arms when reading

Great quiz! It would be awesome if Ken's incorrect answers appear after the quiz taker answers correctly. I'd be interested to know what he answered on some of these...

I decided not to because it felt cluttered. Also, many of these Ken didn't answer incorrectly, he just decided never to ring in even though he had the opportunity to.

I liked the note at the beginning of the comments. I got sixteen, but only fifteen on the first try - and five of them (at least) probably got too slowly to have a good chance at buzzing in. Undoubtedly, one could make a quiz of stuff he got right that would have me feeling a lot worse.

When Jennings was on the show, Insectivora was a specific order of mammals that included moles, hedgehogs, shrews, and other similar small mammals. The order has now been split into several smaller groups due to DNA analysis, and now the word simply describes any small mammal whose diet is mostly insects. At the time, echidna would not have counted because it is in the order Monotremata.

I understand that 'Shetlands' might have been the 'correct' answer for the Jeopardy clue above as it appeared in the programme, but the islands are not, in fact, called the 'Shetlands'. They can either be called 'Shetland' (singular) or the 'Shetland Islands'.

"chez" doesn't mean house at all. I think the closest translation would be "at", but it's only used to refer to people's places. In french you say "chez moi" (at home), chez Jean (at Jean's). That's why some restaurants are called "Chez XXX", it would be like "Wendy's"

And it's definitey not a verb, it's a preposition.

Yes, he is the greatest Jeopardy contestant of all-time. He won 74 games in a row. (Second-best is 39 games, which ended just last month). He also won a three-day tournament against the two other best players ever, James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter. He has actually taken over as host since Alex Trebek died. Definitely the Jeopardy king.
