There is a Chimney Rock park in North Carolina as well.

And a Chimney Rock in Maryland, also. In fact, I bet there are a dozen states or more with a Chimney Rock.

I kept trying North Carolina for that one, too. Recognize the answer after seeing it, but the other one is definitely famous. Maybe add it as a type-in?

There is also a Lincoln Memorial in Illinois, which is atop his tomb.

The golden spike is also a casino in vegas...not exactly a landmark. FYI, Nevada doesn't work.

They all work. You have to type the answer that corresponds to the yellow box. You can move the box by clicking a cell or by using the up and down arrows on your keyboard.

Or tab. Much easier than moving your hands all 4 inches to the arrow keys. :)

The Golden Spike was driven in Utah Territory, but it currently resides at Stanford University, California.

Quizmaster, for Chimney Rock, you need to add North Carolina too. When I look up Chimney Rock on google, the first ten entries are all in reference to Chimney Rock, NC.

goose77:"When I look up Chimney Rock on google, the first ten entries are all in reference to Chimney Rock, NC."

Let me guess....you live in North Carolina? Google knows this. Results are tailored to you as the user. When I

Google "Chimney Rock", the first 2 results are for restaurants thusly named in New Jersey. Does that mean that NJ should also be an acceptable answer?

Is North Carolina's Chimney Rock a National Historic site? No. Nebraska's is.

Check the change in your pocket. Did North Carolina put Chimney Rock on their state quarter? No. Nebraska did.

If you are a U.S. Landmarks aficionado, as this quiz is testing for, being aware of a North Carolina Chimney Rock shouldn't get you off the hook for not knowing the Nebraska Chimney Rock.

There is also a well known chimney rock in Colorado, in addition to Nebraska and North Carolina!

Maybe change it to Chimney Rock National Historic Site. There's only one of those. In Nebraska.

National Historic Site, National Monument, etc. etc. Maybe the Chimney Rock question should be replaced!

Without the yellow box you could just start typing all the states without looking at the clues.

This quiz is asking for THE Chimney Rock and you all know it lol. You either know the state where the absolute, well-known, most famous Chimney Rock is, or you don't. I hope Quizmaster isn't accepting all the other ones mentioned. Don't give into the whining!
