I seriously was guessing several different things for "human" and was confused why it wasn't accepted. Don't dolphins also kill sharks or is that an urban legend?

The Orca is actually the largest species of dolphin. it is NOT a whale. So yeah...dolphins DO kill sharks.

actually, orca is not a dolphin, dolphins are whales. They are toothed whales, when blue whales are baleen whales

'five fingers and opposable thumbs' is misleading - makes it sound like 6 digits.

Could maybe change to '5 fingers including opposable thumbs'?

I was thinking Brazil too, until I remembered what my friend who grew up there told me--there's tons of wildlife there, but not a whole lot of mammals, at least not large ones.

I don't know what a flying squirrel is, but in Australia we have a creature called a sugar glider (unofficially called a flying fox, which in turn has had play equipment used by kids named after it) that also fits that description exactly.
