I'm not usually one to argue for more spelling allowances, but "capybara" may be short, but it's a mite tricky.

'five fingers and opposable thumbs' is misleading - makes it sound like 6 digits.

Could maybe change to '5 fingers including opposable thumbs'?

I thought it would be Brazil, considering the Amazon jungle fauna diversity.

I was thinking Brazil too, until I remembered what my friend who grew up there told me--there's tons of wildlife there, but not a whole lot of mammals, at least not large ones.

I don't know what a flying squirrel is, but in Australia we have a creature called a sugar glider (unofficially called a flying fox, which in turn has had play equipment used by kids named after it) that also fits that description exactly.

Flying Foxes are a type of bat.

Sugar gliders are essentially the same as flying squirrels even though they come from a different evolutionary line.

Agree, flying fox is a correct answer to question 2. I've never heard of a flying squirrel either, except for Rocky.

Flying fox is a type of bat and can actually fly.

Question 2 asks for a mammal that can't fly but can glide over 100 meters - so flying fox would not be a correct answer due to its ability to fly.

Sugar glider is also not a correct answer, because they can only glide about 50 meters, about half the distance mentioned in the question.

I'm so stupid. I forgot that whales are mammals, and I was trying to figure out what mammal is heavier than a whale.

I was sure I'd done this one before, but no.

On the other one I was thinking of, I complained that the clue was asking for a plural but accepted the singular (it was "What are the only mammals capable of true flight?" and obviously the answer is "bats", but it accepted "bat" and I was left with an 's' at the start of my next answer, hence my justified complaint.)

This one is the inverse of that - it asks for a singular, but the answer is shown as a plural! Bats are/is a type of mammal(s)?! Jetpunk urgently needs a site-wide bat policy.

I thought that the heaviest mammal question only refers to land mammals since Earth is not just the name of our planet but also another word for ground, and I tried to type Paraceratherium.

"Earth" is the name of the planet, and given that it is capitalized, there's no confusion with any other meaning of "earth."

Also, earth is another word for soil or dirt, but not another word for ground or land, and even if it were, with that meaning, it would only be capitalized if it were the first word in the sentence.

I also misunderstood the meaning of Earth because there are no known mammals on other planets.

Indonesia made sense to me but my other guesses would have been Brazil or Australia, I forgot it was just mammals but I feel like even if it's only including mammals those countries would still be pretty high

If I were to say "What does Superman's costume look like?" would you respond with "How can I possibly answer that? Superman isn't real," or would you know what I meant? Unicorn horns have been depicted pretty consistently for hundreds of years, so there is a standard image of what they look like even though they're fictional.
