Great quiz, and a lot of classic movies on it, from best picture winners like the Godfather and West Side Story to just plain classics like Back to the Future and Empire Strikes Back. Fun.

He is right...during the indoor pool volleyball, but that is a reference to TOP GUN, so shouldn't count.

It was more of a giant, flying, talking beast (that sort of looked like a dog). Oh no! Look out!!! The NOTHING!!!!!!

The 'talking dog' was called the 'luck dragon'. So... not a dog. Mind you, not really a dragon either.

Surprised how many of these I didn't get and recognized after I finished (like for some reason I could remember "witch project" but not "Blair," and I somehow didn't see the first clue :P) And by the way, "Inability to Handle Truth" is officially my favorite quiz hint. Ever.

What's with Empire being the only sequel on the list? Granted, it is the superior film of the one true trilogy, but there were other franchises where you could have gone with a sequel to make it a little more challenging. Especially Back to the Future and Die Hard.

I guess it's because Empire was so memorable and the clues were easy to remember. Same with the first Die Hard and the first Back to the Future. And all three films are often considered to be the best of their respective franchises, if that helps.

Because, no matter how good he is, Daniel Day Lewis has actually not made that many mainstream films, I was like, "Gangs? No. Lincoln? No. Laundrette? No. My Left Foot? No." So the actual answer is seriously, yep, that's the other one.

May I say, a superb movie quiz encompassing many great movies across many eras.

I have never seen such a big drop off from the #1 most recognized answer to the second. It was because of that other quiz site that I finally made myself go out and rent 'There Will Be Blood', so I could get all the references.
