Bunsen and beaker are the terms for two pieces of lab equipment (a burner and a pyrex jar), if that helps you at all.

Their full names are Statler Hilton and Waldorf Astoria.

If there was an evil character, it would be Oscar. Bert is just a little OCD

It's been way too long since I've seen the Muppets, so I missed the critics, Gonzo and the scientist (but not Beeker!). But I heard a wild rumor there's a Veggie Monster now. Is this true?! Has the world gone completely insane?!

rest easy...he is still the cookie monster. He just enjoys veggies from time to time as well as cookies.

Statler and Waldorf were both named after old NYC hotels. The Statler was originally built as the Hotel Pennsylvania, and is still in operation across 7th Avenue from Penn Station. Literally on the block where I work. And I missed that name on the quiz. I am ashamed.

You should take off the Sesame Street characters because they are not called Muppets. Just because Jim Henson created both Sesame Street and the Muppets doesn't mean that the Sesame Street characters are also called Muppets. Also, you should put more Muppets on this quiz (Floyd, Dr. Teeth, Sweetums, Rowlf, Janice, Zoot, Constantine, Camilla the Chicken, Rizzo the Rat, Sam Eagle, Mahna Mahna, Snowth, Walter). If their is anymore that you think of that isn't on Sesame Street and isn't on this list, go to my quiz titled A Complete List of the Most Famous Muppets. Also, if you have an electronic handheld device such as an iPad, iPhone, or any type of tablet, I would suggest downloading the app My Muppets Show. It teaches you how to manage money and learn how to save up your money to buy something that you actually need. Again, I say it teaches you how to manage money. And it is a really fun and addicting game to play. It even has Muppets that you have never even heard of. That is all. Bye.

Although I agree that this quiz is a little heavy on Sesame Street, those characters are still considered Muppets. If you visit the Sesame Street website they list them as Muppets. Fraggle Rock is also considered a Muppet show, originally called "Fraggle Rock with Jim Henson's Muppets."

Kermit did not debut on Sesame Street. He first appeared in a program called Sam & Friends back in 1955.

There appears to be a mistake in the Fozzie Bear clue. I think it's supposed to read, "delightful jokes." Might have been an autocorrect issue.

technically the characters on sesame street are not muppets. Also, Fozzy says waka twice, not three times.
+1
Level 76
Apr 29, 2021
Technically, they are. Disney acquired the Muppets, with the exception of characters from Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, and a few of the TV specials. The also acquired to trademark to the word "Muppet," but license it to Sesame Workshop so they can still use it for their characters. Go to the Sesame Street website, you'll see them still describing their characters as "Muppets."

Is it just me or do the Swedish Chef's hands terrify anyone else? Like, they couldn't put gloves on the guy to make it look like the rest of the Muppet?

Also, fun fact Beaker used to scare the living daylights outta me when I was little but we never knew why until I was watching Ice Age and freaked out at Scrat. It's those eyes, always the eyes.

+2
Level 76
Apr 29, 2021
They couldn't, actually! His shtick on the show involved too much prop handling and fine motor control for the puppeteers to wear the "hand" gloves you see on similarly constructed Muppets like Rowlf or Ernie.
