Two things: 1. Speakerboxx/The Love Below is NOT Outkast's final album - in 2006, they released Idlewild 2. It's a bit inaccurate to call Princess Diana a 'celebrity'. She was a cultural icon, yes, but firstly and most importantly, she was a member of the UK's Royal Family. Calling her a celebrity implies she was an actress by profession or something.
+1
level 35
Dec 29, 2014
How was she not a celebrity? The president would also be a celebrity, yet he doesn't act. Celebrity implies fame, not job. Wikipedia: "Celebrity refers to popular fame and public attention in the media, usually applied to a person, or group of people Celebrity status is often associated with wealth (commonly referred to as fame and fortune) and fame can often provide opportunities to make money."

How? You "celebrate" their status in the public eye. I would agree she doesn't belong in a music quiz.
+1

Feb 29, 2016
she was definitely a celebrity for most peoples definition of celebrity. if you think it's disrespectful to call someone from the royal family a celebrity, you're being way to sensitive on their behalf. And as far as being on a music quiz, the question is about Elton John rewriting a song for her. If that's not music I don't know what is

No, they shouldn't. No one should accept (nor should anyone write) "Lennon, McCartney, Starr, and Harrison" for a question to which the answer is "the Beatles." The group is called the Three Tenors. Maybe for sports questions, instead of putting down team names, Quizmaster should set it up so that we can just type out the name of everyone on the roster?

Needs to be changed - Speakerboxx/The Love Below is NOT Outkast's final album! Also, more subjectively, Princess Diana shouldn't be known as a 'celebrity'. She's a royal first and foremost.

+3

Feb 29, 2016
the question is about an Elton John song, so it definitely belongs on a music quiz, as for "princess of wales" that is a title, not a name. If someone asked who was shot by John Wilkes Booth, "the president of the united states" is not an acceptable answer

Got 'em all except Drake. I am not aware of that video. And to all the people whining about what's really "music" and griping that these people aren't musicians...shut up. The quiz doesn't say it's about great music. It's just about music. I don't like most of these acts, but whatever. They're all notable (or were notable in the year they represent in this quiz). The quiz is only asking if you remember them. So what? Go put $10 into your local jukebox and then talk loudly about the bar about how great your taste in music is if you need the validation that badly.

Diana's title was never "Princess Diana", that was just was the Press and uneducated called her. Her correct title was "Diana, Princess of Wales". The title "Princess Xxxx" is reserved for a Princess of the Blood (i.e. born as one) like Eugenie, Anne and Beatrice.
