Can I get some Jamiroquai, Jurassic 5, Jack Johnson, Jam Master Jay, or Jodeci?

Of those, I've only heard music by Jamiroquai, and please don't make me try to spell that during a quiz!

you should try out some Jack Johnson. He makes great music

Yea, but Jam Master Jay is (was) part of Run DMC, so that would be the musical act, in the quiz for "R".

Me and Bobby McGee is actually a cover. Original is Kris Kristofferson.

Kris co-wrote it, but Roger Miller was the first one to perform it. Kristofferson, The Grateful Dead, and Joplin all performed it at least a year after Miller.

Artists known by one name clearly fall under the first letter of that name. Being falsely obtuse to try to prove a point is a bad argument. Last name is the clear standard, except in the case of artists known by one name like Prince, Madonna, Beyonce, etc.

So proud of myself for not knowing the Justin Bieber song . . . in fact, other than hearing "Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh" on a commercial, I don't know a single thing that kid has ever done.

I was watching Lobo in concert at my school in 1973, and after a break he came back out on stage very upset, and told us that his good friend, Jim Croce, had just died in a plane crash after performing at Northwestern State in Louisiana. I'll never forget that moment.

In four different styles, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Joy Division and Judas Priest are all very significant.
