The did Raising Arizona? Didn't know that. Love that movie. Pretty much the only watchable thing Nic Cage has been in.

You are joking right? Nic Cage is one of the greatest actors of our time. His performance in Wicker Man was legendary! "NOT THE BEES!!! AAARGH!!" Sir Laurence Olivier couldn't have uttered that line any better.

He's a good actor if he's playing the part of a dead-eyed, unresponsive, mumbling narcoleptic

One of the greatest actors of our time? That was just a bad attempt at sarcasm right?

No, I think he's rubbish

Bringing Out The Dead was an amazing movie.

Haven't seen that one. Other Cage movies I liked include Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Kick-Ass!, Adaptation, and Matchstick Men.

He was okay in World Trade Center, Lord of War, Face/Off, The Rock, Peggy Sue Got Married, and The Weather Man.

I saw part of Leaving Las Vegas a long time ago and honestly don't really remember it. Everything else I've seen him in I pretty much hated and hated him in it. I still think Raising Arizona had the role he was born to play.

I like him in Moonstruck and Leaving Las Vegas.

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

You are correct, that is totally my opinion. I have the same opinion of anything from Quinten Tarantino (I am sure I spelled his name incorrectly). I watched No Country for Old Men one night, and after it was done I remember thinking to myself, "What did I just watch?" I guess I am just not enlightened enough to appreciate them.

ctleng76, you are absolutely right. I have no regard for their movies either. It’s all just the same ‘someone is after something and people are chasing him’ plot line in all their movies. No beginning no end, no storyline whatsoever to follow. It’s as if you pressed play in the middle of the movie, then you watch this chase and then the movie ends... No country for old men was the worst.

Why would you two even take this quiz if that’s how you feel? If complex, multi-layered characters engaging in creative, witty dialogue isn’t your thing, there are plenty of comic book hero films, car chases and vomit-inducing “romances” to keep you occupied. Each to their own my friends…

I knew 4 from the top. The rest not really. I think there was 2 others I've heard of. They got a bit of a strange style to their movies, I think.

The answer for their 2009 movie breaks the site rule of ignoring articles (a, an, the) in responses. The article at the beginning of the title is a necessary type-in, but should not be.

Bad Santa?

Bad Santa is the best anti-holiday movie. I like Christmas but I hate that it gets a 3 month celbration period. Whenever you've had your fill of happy movies "Bad Santa" is a great go-to.

I think the name of the character itself, without the first word, should be accepted for their 2013 movie.

who is a detective in blood simple?

M Emmet Walsh's character with the cowboy hat is kinda a detective because he's taking the photos, right?

It confused me too because he's a shady bad guy. He's more an investigator, I suppose.

Can you add the Tragedy of Macbeth (2021) and Drive-Away Dolls (2024)? There are directed by only one brother though but I feel like they should still count.
