When referring to their sports teams, it's always either Miami or Miami (OH), so it's assumed that "Miami" is the school in Florida

2:49 here. I didn't know Thorpe was a ballroom dancer. I saw some "Dance Sport" on TV and it was so mechanically precise that it was oddly cold and impersonal...dancing with no romance or personality, just intense technical precision and strength. Which made the garish costumes, helmet hair and prerehearsed facial expressions and flourishes all the more artificial-seeming.
