Why do people keep putting Forest Whittaker in their films? He's... terrible!

Crying Game, Last King of Scotland. He's gripping in both. Strange that you say that. I think he only improves any movie he's in.

He has range too. Unlike a lot of famous actors, he can play different types of characters AND do it well.

I haven't seen "The Last King of Scotland", but I tend to agree with Oz. I thought he was terrible in the movies I have seen him in (Black Panther, The Butler, Phonebooth).

Considering DiCaprio is the first one, it was pretty clear that they needn't have won an Oscar.

With 15 Oscar and Golden Globe nods under his belt, people might easily just assume Leo's won already.

The only people here who haven't won an Oscar(as of 2018), are Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen, Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., Lawrence Fishbourne, Ryan Gosling, and Ed Harris.

Seriously??? McKellan not good enough for McKellen? The inconsistencies with which this site accepts or denies spelling errors is baffling. It's the only thing that absolutely drives me nuts about this site.

Level 66

Alternate type-ins have to be added manually, so it all comes down to what the quiz-maker decides (or remembers) to add in. McKellan has been made an acceptable type-in since your comment, though.

No, the default regex is pretty smart. That comes automatically. Es and As are usually interchangable so I don't know why this one was different.

Maybe it's just me, but I think this would have been easier if the photos hadn't been quite so close-up. Cutting off ears and hair for some changed their looks. But I still loved the quiz. (Actually, it might make for a fun quiz to crop out everything but eyes, nose, and mouth - very difficult, but fun.)

This is why I hate alternate spellings being accepted, rather than people just learning how to spell the answer - particularly in quizzes where it's not down to American vs ROW, etc. These are proper nouns with no alternates, but people's 'need' to have Fishburn and Duval accepted throws off my next answers. In a quizz on NAMES with FIXED spellings, this is the building of an idiocracy.

You have a point, but there is a counterpoint. This quiz is testing one's ability to identify a face and remember the name that goes with it. By strictly enforcing spelling accuracy, someone who knows that name, but makes a simple spelling error will not get credit. The reasons for such errors may include not having English as a first language or having a brain that just works differently (dyslexia, visual processing disorders). There are very smart people who struggle to spell for reasons that are not their fault. It seems reasonable to make allowances for this on a low stakes quiz site. This is not how humanity dies.

tldr: Relax. It's not that big a deal.

Viggo Mortensen: a much underrated actor. Prefer him with longer hair, but he is still handsome and a talented actor. (Have you seen him in "Perfect Murder" (with Michael Douglas and Gwynneth Paltrow?) Excellent acting!

He has it in him to be truly great, but doesn't always get there. Then again, most great actors have some lesser performances. Probably depends on role/director.
