Agreed. Pennsylvania Dutch evolved out of the Pfälzisch dialect. You could easily keep the answer the same by changing the clue to something like “Language from which Pennsylvania Dutch is descended”.

While I’m being all complainy ;-), I’d like to make a suggestion for W. The current answer, Andy Warhol, is really much more associated with New York City than he is with anywhere in Pennsylvania. Conveniently however, in Eastern PA we have a veritable dynasty of an artist family: the Wyeths! The father-son-grandson trio of NC, Andrew, and Jamie are the best known, but pretty much all of the siblings were artists, then married other artists, and then begat even more artists. A few relocated, but most stayed and painted their entire lives in the Brandywine Valley. Consider?

Well, there's a large Warhol gallery in Pittsburgh. I don't think his roots are so obscure.

Warhol is a pretty big name in Pittsburgh. They have a whole bridge in downtown Pittsburgh named after him as well.
