no idea what that was about, but guessed it was the guy on those romance novels, which I recently had heard some long discussion about. So I was actually aware he had a name (never realizes or thought about), and apparently somewhat remebered it, as I tried flavio, well sergio first.

Fabio appeared in a popular series of commercials (such as this one) for the margarine brand I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!

We have a margarine-like butter substitute in the US called "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter", and he does the commercials on TV.

I thought of Andre the Giant just as I was clicking "I Give Up," and of course it was right. Hate when that happens!!

I know. I tried Newton several times, even though I wasn't entirely sure the balloons clue applied to him.

That was my reaction, as well. Completely stumped me.

Ahaha! I read Virgin, Balloon FIGHT, and Knight and had an instant image of an awkward Star Wars fan (Jedi Knight) pretending to have a light saber battle with a balloon...

Didn't get Kardashian. Didn't get Bieber. Didn't get Bush. It's a good day to be alive.

Never heard of Mellow Johnny's and for me the other two clues were a bit general, so I missed that one. I didn't keep up with the guy but I might have gotten it if doping scandal or Crow had been one of the clues. (Sheryl Crow is from my general area of Missouri so her activities were in the local news a lot back then.)

Yeah, this quiz definitely skipped past the most notable features of Lance Armstrong...Tour de France, Sheryl Crow, cycling, LiveStrong, doping scandal, slander, sociopath, USPS....all more noteworthy than Mellow Johnny's and Austin, Texas. (I'm assuming he's from there? It's not like he's synonymous with Austin the way Prince is with Minneapolis or Kurt Cobain is with Seattle.)

Level 72
May 12, 2020
Seriously, I had no idea he was from Austin, and I think unless you're a huge biking fan or from Austin (or both maybe) you probably wouldn't know about the Mellow Johnny bike shop? I only got it because he's one of the few people with testicular cancer I could think of, just randomly guessing.

Level 64

I only got Lord Byron because of a commercial for About.com that was on Channel One News when I was in middle school 15 years ago. Funny how these things stick with a person.

9/20 got Lord Byron- Not gonna get that wrong again after that ‘She Walks in Beauty’ question in the OLAV times quiz a while back
