Robin Yount would fit very nicely as Y.

He used to be here but people whined about having an American sports figure on the quiz.

Who the heck is Robin Yount????

Level 75

I mean, I don't think there is any way he is more obscure than the answers for RI or RQ...

I don't understand. There are people in the world who didn't follow Milwaukee Brewers baseball in the 80s and 90s?

I've definitely heard of the Isley Brothers and Randy Quaid. No idea who Yount is. But the fact that I don't know who he is is not a good reason to exclude him from the quiz.

You could include the classic 1930's actor Robert Young and REALLY piss 'em off. :-D

That's funny, before I read your response, I was thinking whether there wasn't some actor named R. Young, i.e. Robert.

I think it's better than no answer at all. The guy is a Hall-of-Famer after all.

Some people (including myself) weren’t alive in those years.

Level 89
Aug 29, 2019
So because you weren't alive is a good excuse to not learn anything historical? No one who takes these quizzes was alive during the years of Genghis Khan, Charlemagne, Napoleon...

Level 67

Kind of a bad example. You think this guy will still be known in a couple of hundred years? If not you cant claim he has historical importance. Some people can be extremely famous in a certain time period, but not relevant and forgotten a generation later.

Read Rafael Nadal as Ralph Nader. Time for bed.

I'd have had a better shot at getting Nader if he WAS the answer.

Saw the word drummer in the clue and automatically skipped it. I never know specific musicians in these quizzes. Then I saw the answer, reread the clue, and now I'm so ashamed. I was a fan when they first invaded the US and I missed that one???

Why would you guess his birth name instead of the name that literally billions more people know him by?

Doesn't matter -- just typing in "star" does the trick either way.

I'd venture that Roy Orbison is far better known than any snooker player. Actually surprised though that 44% know the RO answer.

Level 83

I typed in Reagan and Orbison before even looking at the clues as I was sure they would be answers. Surprised Orbison wasn't but I knew O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan is a household name in the UK, which might be why he's guessed a bit higher than you were expecting.

Level 84

Never knew anything about snooker until I stumbled across a video of O'Sullivan playing, and watched it for some reason. The guy is a snooker assassin. Unreal. Made me go look up the rules of the game to better understand it.
