Slightly embarrassed that I knew Mia so quickly. Never heard of the one that looks like an anime character and couldn't think of the "Princess and the Frog" name.
I'm almost embarrassed to be asking this, but for Mia could you also accept Amelia? It is the character's full name, and I almost didn't get it because all I could hear in my head was Julie Andrews' character referring to her as Amelia or "Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi: Princess of Genovia"
Princess Mononoke is the title of the movie. The character's name is San. I know most people will probably know the movie title and not her name, but maybe San could be accepted too for typing time?
Technically for the UK ones you should allow Charles for #3 and William for #6, since they're princesses by marriage, though the practice has fallen away - only Princess Michael of Kent sticks to it. Diana was sometimes referred to as Princess Charles at first by sticklers, but it didn't catch on, and so she became known as Diana, Princess of Wales (rather than Princess Diana, technically incorrect, though the popular press used it).
Or maybe referring to a woman by her husband is a rather sexist and very outdated and questionable practice. So maybe they should be called by their own names, no matter how they came by their titles.
If Buttercup is from the Princess Bride, I might actually scream haha. I recognise all of the others (good mix of people!), but the prevalence of that film on this site is incredible.
A+ quiz, love all the selections
Then go watch the movie. It's good. Certainly better than The Princess Diaries or The Princess and the Frog.
