A very strange mix of cities in that it mixes major cities from around the world and then rather minor cities from the United States. As JetPunk is well known for its international base of users, this just is not fair to non-Americans.
Also, Delhi is not a city. New Delhi is the city inside the region of Delhi, the National Capital Region. This error is equivalent to saying Australia's capital is the Australian Capital Territory when Canberra, which is within the ACT, is the capital city.
I have to agree. As an american, these cities are rather small to put up on a quiz meant for people from around the world. Outside of the midwest, most people probably only recognize Fargo because of the show. And I don't think many people outside the US know Omaha...
I only knew Omaha from it being the home town of Penny in TBBT. And Fargo was literally just trial and error of every viable permutation of the letters!
Good quiz. Got em with 2.27 left but sometimes the shorter words are harder to unscramble than the longer ones. Had to come back to a few but got em eventually
There is a small city in OK called Altus, (pop. around 20,000) and once I got that in my head I couldn't think of anything else. Can't believe I didn't get Tulsa in the same state.
Dreaded this at first - and put it off - thinking they would all be obscure US cities. Delighted to find all but a few were international locations and all really easy.
Interesting...I breezed through this one in a hurry but I have some problems on the quizzes like this with longer names -- like I can only quickly solve a certain number of letters. Maybe I need more RAM or a faster processor between my ears? :-)
People complain that these quizzes are too US-centric, but I just see them as a chance to expand my knowledge. As a Brit who has never been to the US, I've learned so much about America from this site alone.
Wow my score doubled from the last time I took this, I have no idea how I got half of these like I've barely heard of Dakar or Tulsa, and I rarely think about Hanoi or Turin or Fargo or Omaha etc.
The only one that stumped me for a while this time was ACORI. Tried almost every possible combination before I got it. One of the most famous cities in the whole list, but I'm not surprised to see it at the bottom of the guessed list.
Fargo is known due to it being a Coen Brothers film in the 90s, Francis McDormand won her first Best Actress Oscar from it. In more recent years an anthology series called Fargo has also been made.
Oh, and I'm happy to see Sofia in a quiz! :)
*I'm 12*
**YAY**

lol just joking, but a disclaimer could be useful (something like: "if there are more than one city with same letters, put in the most populous")
