Ukraine's flag also has nearly the same colors as Palau's flag. I'd suggest altering the clue to "the colors of whose flag are only shared by one other country in Europe, that being..." or something like that.

except extrapolating to the next clue, Palau isn't connected by a bridge to another country. My first thought was Kazakhstan's flag (even though the blue is much lighter) but it's landlocked, so i knew it couldn't be it.

It still has border rivers. You have to cross the river Chu to get from Korday, Kazakhstan into Kyrgyzstan (where you can take the road to Bishkek).

This quiz fails to credit rg1227, who originally came up with this concept but for countries and made it into a quiz: https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/229194/six-degrees-of-separation-countries

Regardless, fun quiz!

Cyprus clue is a little vague. More precise would be "Is an island country in the Med like...". By the current clue it could be many countries.

Israel received over 1 million immigrants from the former Soviet Union. This included Russia, but also a large number from Ukraine and other former USSR countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia….so the correct answer should be the USSR/Soviet Union.
