I noticed at the Louvre that they credited one painting to "Parmesan". I was excited to add this one and put the answer as "Both".
But after doing more research, it doesn't seem that there's any painter known simply as "Parmesan". I think it might have been "Parmigianino". Not sure why the Louvre had it as Parmesan.
@Quizmaster "Le Parmesan" it's merely the translated French name for "Il Parmigianino". In English it would be "The little one from Parma" (or "Lil' Parmesan", if he were a hip hop artist).
My mother-in-law emigrated from Asiago many years ago and although I've heard lots of things about the town (mostly about skiing and snow) but have never heard about a type of cheese that is named after the town. The things you learn on this site.
Asiago cheese is a popular variety of bagel in the US. I was surprised to see it was the least guessed answer, but if it isn't common outside the States I guess the percentage makes sense.
